The short version: a Cold Start Report is research to help you decide on a used motorcycle. It is not a mechanical inspection or a guarantee. Always have a bike inspected by a qualified technician before you buy it.
1. Who we are
Cold Start Report ("we," "us") is an independent business based in Tennessee, operating the website coldstartreport.com. You can reach us at support@coldstartreport.com. By using the site or buying a report, you agree to these terms.
2. What the service is
We sell pre-purchase research reports on used Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Each report is generated for the year, model and details you enter, using our own knowledge base of known model- and year-specific issues together with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and publicly available information, such as recall databases and current for-sale listings.
Reports cover topics like specifications, recalls, common failure points, maintenance, price comparisons and inspection checklists. The exact contents can vary by model, year and the information available.
3. What the service is not
- It is not a physical or mechanical inspection. We have not seen, ridden or inspected the motorcycle.
- It is not a vehicle history report. We do not check title status, liens, theft records, accident history or odometer records.
- It is not a warranty, guarantee or appraisal of any specific motorcycle's condition or value.

4. Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate vehicle information. The report is based on what you provide, and a wrong year, model or VIN can produce a report that doesn't fit the bike.
- Use the report as one input to your decision, not the only one.
- Don't misuse the site: no automated scraping, attempts to get reports without paying, reselling reports, or interfering with the site's operation.
5. Price and payment
Each report costs $29.99 (USD), charged once. There is no subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. Prices may change, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
6. Delivery
Reports are digital and are normally ready within minutes of payment. You can view the report on screen, download it as a PDF, and it is emailed to the address you provide at checkout. If you don't receive your report, contact us and we'll resolve it.
7. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
8. Your use of the report
You may use, print and share your report for your own personal purchase decision, including showing it to a seller or mechanic. You may not resell it, publish it commercially, or use it to build a competing product. The site's design, text, knowledge base and branding belong to Cold Start Report.
9. Accuracy and no warranty
We work to make reports accurate and useful, but they may contain errors or omissions. AI-assisted content can be wrong, recall and listing data can be incomplete or out of date, and individual motorcycles vary with age, mileage, maintenance and modifications. The site and reports are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy, to the fullest extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cold Start Report is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including repair costs, lost money on a purchase, or loss of use, arising from your use of the site or a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Trademarks
Harley-Davidson and related model names are trademarks of H-D U.S.A., LLC. Cold Start Report is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Harley-Davidson. Model names are used only to identify the motorcycles our reports cover.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, unless the law requires otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Terms in effect when you bought a report apply to that purchase.
